"Dr. [GULSUM TETIK], a high school valedictorian, went on to graduate at the top of her class from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 1998. She then completed her residency in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine between 1999-2005, where her graduation thesis received first place in Turkey in the experimental field.
In 2011, she received a scholarship from the European Association of Plastic Surgery (EURAPS), which is awarded to only 3 people in Europe each year, and worked as a Clinical Fellow in the fields of aesthetic and post-cancer repair surgery and microsurgery at the University of Vienna and the University of Brussels in 2013.
Between 2005 and 2011, she worked as an expert at Ankara Dıskapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital, where she performed successful microsurgical operations for numerous trauma and tumor cases. In 2015, she was promoted to Associate Professor in the field of Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She continued to perform aesthetic and repair surgeries at Antalya Training and Research Hospital from 2011 to 2017 and was an instructor and speaker at numerous scientific meetings. She has numerous national and international scientific publications to her name."
