It is generally not recommended to touch the inside of your nose after rhinoplasty, particularly in the first few weeks of the recovery period. During this time, the nasal tissues and bones may be swollen and delicate, and any excessive pressure or manipulation of the nose can disrupt the healing process and increase the risk of complications.
Your surgeon will provide you with specific instructions for post-operative care, including when and how to clean the inside of your nose. In most cases, you will be advised to avoid inserting any objects, including cotton swabs or tissues, into your nose, as these can also disrupt the healing process and increase the risk of infection.
If you experience any discomfort or other symptoms after your surgery, such as congestion, itching, or bleeding, be sure to contact your surgeon for guidance on the best course of action. By following your surgeon's post-operative instructions carefully and contacting them with any concerns or questions, you can help ensure a smooth and successful recovery from your rhinoplasty surgery.
