The level of pain experienced during and after liposuction can vary from person to person, and it largely depends on the body part being treated. However, some areas tend to be more sensitive and painful than others.
Typically, areas that have a high concentration of nerves and blood vessels, such as the abdomen, hips, and inner thighs, tend to be more painful to liposuction. These areas may also have more significant swelling and bruising following the procedure.
Other factors that can affect the pain level of liposuction include the amount of fat removed, the technique used, and the skill and experience of the surgeon. To manage pain, surgeons often prescribe pain medication, apply compression garments, and recommend rest and limited activity for a few days to a few weeks after the procedure.
